From February to July 2012, DESfilms became a part of the YouthME project at Barcelona & Salt, Catalonia. Using the YouthME methodology, the workshop focused on empowering young adolescent immigrants at risk of social inclusion, through utilizing the tool of the video camera to develop their skills and abilities. The goal of the workshop was for young immigrants, aged from 14 to 23, to be able to create a space occupied by their own unique voices and for that space to become an engine of empowerment and social transformation.

The pedagogical process resulted in the documentary “Tras el Objetivo” (“Behind the Goal”), a Quepo Foundation Production, with Despina Economopoulou (DESfilms) as the Director of Post Production.
